TRAVEL CLINICInternational travel involves numerous potential health hazards, including exposure to infectious diseases, altitude/depth-related illnesses, deep-vein thrombosis, and aggravation of pre-existing illnesses such as heart and lung disease. Our goal is to promote healthy travel by addressing and minimizing these risks. This involves first evaluating the traveler’s current medical status and then reviewing his/her travel itinerary. Using current databases, we identify likely risks and offer appropriate immunizations, medications, and advice on minimizing the risks. A client traveling to Africa, for instance, might be offered yellow fever immunization, anti-malaria medication, medication for traveler’s diarrhea, and advice on mosquito avoidance and water safety. We are a designated yellow fever immunization site.
Services for Traveling Groups For groups traveling to similar destinations, we are able to provide the above services at your location. This service must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance. Prior to International Travel Call or email us with your travel plans. We're happy to save you time and resources by offering one-stop medical preparation.
